It can be an uphill battle with kids & their clothes.
As babies we get to make their choices for them & dress them in whatever we please. We are showered with gorgeous little outfits we’d never spend the money on ourselves as gifts & everything is so darn cute!
Then they become toddlers & practicality & durability become your child’s number 1 priorities in fashion.
As they get older, they start to develop their own clothing ideas, too scratchy, too frilly, not frilly enough, not pink enough…….!
My daughter is now 10 & I have found myself in the “big kids” section. And with that Size 7 & up realm comes a whole new world of clothing options.
There’s a lot of black, a lot of slogans & a lot of skimpy stuff!
Same for my 6 year old boy – everything is black & grey & sometimes just a little too grown up.
It can be a real mine field trying to find interesting options for your kids outside of the Target, Big W, K Mart staples.
I’ve grouped a bunch of them together here. Not all of these options will be in your budget, but they do offer some very cool variety & something just a little bit different.
And my number 1 tip for shopping for kids clothes online – shop around! Found an item in Children of the Tribe that’s a bit too pricey – Google it! More than likely you’ll find it pop up in another online clothing store & with a bit of luck on sale!
