Our last day in New York! Who can believe that after five years of planning, it’s all but over?!

We spent the day taking it easy & squeezing in anything we hadn’t done yet but really wanted to!!
Cath, Aly & Linsey braved the NYC traffic & hired bikes for a ride through Central Park & survived!
We had breakfast all together in a cafe next to the Plaza & opposite Central Park, quick stop at FAO Schwartz for toy shopping & the giant piano from the Tom Hanks movie Big (we didn’t get a go though, too busy).

We split up for a bit of shopping & met up at the Spice Market in Chelsea (right near the famous Chelsea Markets). The Spice Market had come highly recommended from heaps of friends & it didn’t disappoint! Very glamorous, lovely food, excellent service & the best Ginger Margaritas we’ve ever tasted!!
After lunch we headed to Lord & Taylor, in my books the best department store we visited.
Dragging our shopping bags we finally made it to our “local”, “Rare”, code name “Dark & Stormy”. We had gone to this hotel on our first night in NY looking for something to eat & their kitchen was closed, but the barman was super cute so we vowed to return!
Typically it was our last day, but it was worth a wait!! An amazing view to say cheers & goodbye to New York!
Dinner was at the Landmark in Columbus Circle with views of Central Park & the pasta we were craving!
Home to give our apartment a last minute spruce up & pack our bags. Tomorrow we were off to Mexico!!
