Splendour in the Grass is a music festival held near Byron Bay in New South Wales this time each year.  The 3 day festival attracts around 30,000 people & is considered Australia’s largest Winter music Festival.

The fashion at Splendour is as important as the music & amazing location.  The festival has developed it’s own style over the years, similar to Coachella or Glastonbury, but with a distinctly Australian vibe.  Fashion stalls sell to the masses at the event making it even easier for the concert goers to mix up their outfits with new purchases.

Local Byron boho brands like Dreamers & Drifters, Spell & the Gypsy Collective & Arnhem Clothing are the fashion staples, mixing gypsy inspired prints & layers, with lace, denim & this year’s essential Hunter gumboots.  (Check out that mud!).

A floppy hat, round sunnies, statement silver & a roughed up anorak will have you mixing with the best.

Hair is long & loose & braids ala the Queen of Dragons reigns supreme.

Perhaps not a look we can all rock at the local Supermarket every day.  However you can incorporate key boho pieces into your everyday wardrobe to channel a little Splendour sheik all of your own.  Some boho labels can be at the higher end of the fashion price range, however there are plenty of pieces you can find in your favourite brand stores that can bring a little gypsy vibe to your look.  All of these pieces are $60 & under!
