It’s easier than you think to wear an item of clothing you’d traditionally wear in Summer in Winter.
Layering is a simple way to use Summer clothing in Winter; a long sleeve top under a cami or tee with a jacket, scarf or cardigan over the top.
The same with skirts; long boots, tights & leggings can all give you extra mileage with your Summer skirts & dresses in Winter.
This Dreamers & Drifters Padang Swing Dress is a favourite of mine so why wait another season to get some wear out of it?
I teamed it with some skinny jeans, (these are Trenery from a previous season, you can find similar here) a singlet underneath (I love Cotton On’s Every Day Camis) & a long line cardi (mine is from Sportsgirl, you can find similar here) – a brand new Winter outfit! And how gorgeous is my hat? $10 on sale at Dotti!
These school holidays we spent a week in Nannup, a town about 3 hours South of Perth where we lived for nearly 10 years a few years back.
As always I asked my little photographer, my nearly 8 year old daughter Oaks to take my #everyday style photo for the day, which we always take on my IPhone. Oaks asked me if she could take some photos of me with the “real camera” today. How could I say no?
Here’s the finished photos – I think Oaks did pretty well – what do you think? Here’s Oak’s shoot of Summer Styling In Winter….
Maybe I have a little photographer in the making – what do you think? Do you ever wear your Summer Wardrobe in Winter? And what do you think of me in a hat? I’m still not convinced!!!
