I LOVE Christmas! And one of the things I love most about this time of year is transforming my house with festive goodies & decorations to create the perfect Christmas vibe!
It doesn’t need to be expensive & it doesn’t need to be over the top (although if you’re that way inclined knock yourself out I say!) & it most definitely doesn’t need to be green & gold & full of tinsel. In saying that I do love me some green & gold, just don’t feel limited by what you perceive as traditional Christmas colours.
I’ve put together some of my favourite pieces I’ve found out & about this Christmas & hope I can inspire you with pretty, cheerful & sometimes useful Christmas bits & pieces to liven up your home this festive season!
Sack Me Swag
Who wouldn’t love to wake up to a gorgeous sack like this one from Little Paper Lane on Christmas morning? Keep it for a Christmas tradition or continue to use it as a cute storage bag the rest of the year! $50.
Christmas Crate
Another cute storage item for either under the tree or for carting the ex-tended gifts over to Granny’s for Christmas lunch! Or why not use it to swap up some storage around the house over Christmas? Only $12 from KMart.
Merry & Bright Garland
I admit I’ve purchased this one for myself! These colours will compliment my Christmas tree decorations & liven up our living room, or maybe I’ll splash out & hang it outside under the patio…. This is from Little Paper Lane.
Canape Plates
An easy way to transform your everyday crockery into something special at mealtime this Christmas! Or how about Santa’s cookie? I’m sure the guy in the big red suit would love the thought! Only $8 from KMart.
Dino Santa
There’s a certain someone in my house who would love this hanging on our Christmas tree! But at only $5 from Cotton On, it would also make a great little addition to some Christmas gift wrapping on a little extra on the Christmas table!
Christmas Sparrow
As much as The D-Man would love the Dino Santa, Oaks would love this cute little lilac Sparrow from Woodsfolk. Again, a beautiful addition to your tree or as a table decoration or gift! If you’re the craft type, I can just see this little bird nestled amongst a home made wreath for your front door. $9
Naughty Scratchie Bon Bons
You don’t need to be a kid to have fun at Christmas! Liven up your Christmas table with these naughty crackers! Scratch off the ink to reveal some naughty Christmas jokes!
Music Box
I love the idea of a decoration that becomes a family favourite. Something special that everyone looks forward to seeing at Christmas time, like an heirloom. This gorgeous Music Box from Kikki.K might become just that! $60
Glitter Antlers
Need I say more??!! I just need these. And my family needs these. Perfect family photo right there! They are from Little Paper Lane & they’re $30 for a pack of 8.
Fa La La Tea Towels
Even if you’re not into turning your home into a Winter Wonderland this Christmas, you can add a little bit of merriment to your kitchen with these cute Christmas tea towels from Freedom. $20 for 2.
Golden Santa Cookie Jar
The perfect place to hide those cookies from Santa until Christmas eve & he’d look super cute sitting on your kitchen bench too! He’s $45 from Lark Store.
Secret Squirrel Dome
Wouldn’t this little guy look great with the Christmas Sparrow? They are a match made in Christmas heaven, on your tree, on your table or to add a special something to the perfect gift wrapping! He’s $23 from Woodsfolk.
I admit, I may have gone a little overboard with my range, but there’s so much out there to suit any Christmas style or budget! Have you found any decorations that have made your heart sing? Tell me all about it!!!
